“Survival of the Fittest”, written and directed by Jasper Lowe, is an hour long documentary starring Lethbridge legend, George Gemer.

George battled the hardest circumstances a human being can face. He fought in WWII and was captured and held as a prisoner of war for five brutal years. This did not crush his human spirit, but it stole his dreams of competing in the Olympics. After his release, George sought refuge in Lethbridge, Canada and began coaching to help his athletes complete the goal he never could. He inspired thousands and left a huge impact on Canadian track and field. Now, at 97 years of age, he chases his dreams once again…

The film’s premiere will be a semi-formal red carpet event with an after party, welcoming guests to stay for food and drinks to celebrate George’s 98th birthday.
